Amish Naik, MD, PhD is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at New York Bone & Joint Specialists and an expert in the treatment of hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder conditions. His philosophy is to listen to the patient first and foremost and to treat the individual not just the disease. He excels in the nonsurgical and surgical management of carpal tunnel syndrome, hand injuries and fractures, shoulder arthritis, rotator cuff and labral injuries, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, and more.

Dr. Naik is an expert in shoulder replacement surgery. He uses advanced imaging and computer-aided techniques to guide the precise placement of hardware to shorten recovery, minimize pain, and maximize longevity of the surgery. His extensive experience includes:

Dr. Naik received a Ph.D. from the University of Rochester, where his doctoral dissertation examined how aging affects fracture healing and wound repair. He has published numerous articles in prestigious journals including the Journal of Hand Surgery and the Journal of Bone and Mineral Research. He has presented papers and given talks at the international meetings of the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute in Bethesda, MD. His goal is to bring cutting edge science to daily patient care.
