Scott Weiss, MD is an experienced Sports Medicine Physician who has been in practice since completing his fellowship in 2008. He holds board certifications in Sports Medicine and Internal Medicine and is New York State certified in Acupuncture.
Dr. Weiss is a graduate of Cornell University, where he received a Bachelors of Science with a major in Biology. He received his medical degree from Tufts Medical School before completing his Internal Medicine residency at Northwell’s Long Island Jewish Hospital. Following his residency, Dr. Weiss was privileged to work as an orthopedic research associate for the world-renowned Dr. Russell Warren at the Hospital for Special Surgery. Subsequently, he worked at Yale New Haven Hospital before completing a Sports Medicine fellowship at United Health Services, an affiliate of Upstate Medical School.
Dr. Weiss is the founder of probeultrasound.com, a musculoskeletal ultrasound authority, and has hosted 11 musculoskeletal ultrasound conferences. Dr. Weiss, a non-surgical sports medicine specialist, has a particular interest in using biologics, such as platelet rich plasma (PRP) and micronized fat (Lipogems) in treating a wide array of musculoskeletal disorders.
Dr. Weiss is a specialist in orthopedic ultrasound guided procedures.
