About Amir Razani

Dr. Amir Razani is a primary care sports medicine specialist at NY Bone and Joint Specialists. He holds a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine and board certifications in both Sports Medicine and Family Medicine through the American Board of Family Medicine. He completed his Family Medicine residency at Northwell Phelps Hospital in Westchester County and his Sports Medicine fellowship at Crozer Health.

During his fellowship, Dr. Razani served as team physician for Division I athletes at the University of Delaware and for professional athletes with the Philadelphia Union MLS team. He also served as team physician for two local high schools, giving him broad experience across the full spectrum of competitive athletes — from youth sports to professional competition. Originally from Westchester County, Dr. Razani developed a deep passion for sports through playing soccer throughout high school and continuing at the club level in college — experience that informs his patient-centered approach to athlete care.

Dr. Razani’s clinical expertise encompasses non-operative management of all upper and lower extremity conditions, including the shoulder, elbow, hand, wrist, hip, knee, ankle, and foot, as well as the spine. He is skilled in ultrasound-guided joint injections and is trained in advanced regenerative medicine techniques including platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections. His osteopathic training provides an additional perspective on musculoskeletal mechanics and manual medicine.
