Dr. Apurva Srivastav is a non-operative sports medicine physician at NY Bone and Joint Specialists. He completed his Sports Medicine fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, one of the leading sports medicine training programs in the New York metropolitan area. Prior to his fellowship, he completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Jefferson Moss-Magee Rehabilitation (MossRehab) at Thomas Jefferson University — one of the most respected PM&R programs in the country. He earned his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University and holds dual bachelor’s degrees from the University of Florida in Business Administration and Microbiology and Cell Science.

Dr. Srivastav’s team physician experience spans professional, Olympic, and collegiate levels. During his fellowship, he served as a team physician for New York City Football Club (NYCFC) and the New York Boulders, provided sideline and medical coverage at Division I Manhattan University and Division III Lehman and Maritime Colleges, and delivered medical coverage at the Lake Placid Olympic Regional Development Center for international-level competition in biathlon, figure skating, bobsled and skeleton, and track and field. He has provided medical tent coverage for major mass-participation events including the Penn Relays, Broad Street Run, and Philadelphia Half-Marathon.

His clinical focus is the non-operative evaluation and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions — the full spectrum from acute sports injuries to chronic pain, with particular expertise in musculoskeletal ultrasound, ultrasound-guided procedures, and regenerative medicine. At NYBJ, he works within a fully integrated orthopedic and sports medicine center where surgical consultation, interventional pain management, and physical therapy are immediately available when the clinical picture requires them.
