Say hello to the latest additions to our dream team.
New York Bone & Joint Specialists is thrilled to announce that we’ve added three orthopedic experts to our roster: Dr. Amir Razani, Dr. Nicole Solomos, and Dr. Edward L. Mills. Coming from deep backgrounds in orthopedic care, these doctors have joined our team to offer their expertise and provide high-quality care to our valued patients. Take some time to get to know our new doctors:
Dr. Amir Razani
Hailing from Westchester County, New York, Dr. Razani grew up playing soccer, fueling his passion for sports. He attended Stony Brook University as an undergraduate student, earning a degree in Business Management with double minors in Biology and Chemistry. He then went on to study medicine at the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine. Afterward, he completed his Family Medicine residency at Northwell Phelps Hospital and a Sports Medicine fellowship at Crozer Health.
Through these experiences, Dr. Razani managed a variety of sports-related injuries and helped many young athletes—including Division I athletes at the University of Delaware and professional soccer players from the Philadelphia Union MLS team—navigate a variety of musculoskeletal conditions and get back on the playing field.
At New York Bone & Joint Specialists, Dr. Razani leverages his expertise as a Primary Care Sports Medicine Physician to deliver non-operative orthopedic care. He specializes in the treatment of all upper and lower extremities and is trained in advanced regenerative medicine techniques and non-operative procedures, such as Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) and joint injections. When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Razani enjoys spending time with his friends and family, staying active, and enjoying the outdoors.
Dr. Nicole Solomos
Also an avid sports enthusiast, Dr. Solomos earned her medical degree from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine and is a board-certified Family Medicine and Sports Medicine physician focusing on non-surgical orthopedic care. She gained experience through her Family Medicine residency at Mount Sinai South Nassau Hospital and a Primary Care Sports Medicine fellowship at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School at Rutgers. Dr. Solomos also served as a staff physician for the U.S. Open Tennis Tournament and a team physician for many collegiate and semi-professional sports teams.
Dr. Solomos not only cares for athletes—she’s been for most of her whole life, playing soccer, basketball, and running track in high school and lacrosse and soccer in college. To this day, she’s still actively involved in soccer and fitness. As a Board-Certified Lifestyle Medicine physician, Dr. Solomos’ is dedicated to helping athletes feel their best through not only non-surgical therapy but also whole-food nutrition, optimized sleep, and social health and wellness. While she helps empower all patients through a holistic approach, she particularly enjoys helping midlife women navigate musculoskeletal challenges that arise in this life stage.
