The NY Bone and Joint Specialists team warmly welcomes its newest addition based on his years of experience and long list of accomplishments in Hip Arthroscopy, as well as his highly advanced training in Joint Replacement, Sports Medicine, and General Orthopedic Surgery.

After attending medical school in Madhya Pradesh, India, Dr. Tarwala had the honor of working alongside some of the best orthopedic surgeons in the world during his General Orthopedic Surgery and Joint Reconstruction fellowships in Germany, Switzerland, and the UK.
In 2015, Dr. Rupesh Tarwala completed 6 years of fellowship programs in the United States, becoming a highly esteemed specialist of Hip Arthroscopy, a minimally invasive surgery technique for correcting hip injuries like articular cartilage damage, dislocations, bursitis, arthritis, tendon or ligament tears, and other hip joint and tissue damage. During his Hip Preservation Fellowship at Ohio State University, Dr. Tarwala quickly became known as a best in class surgeon for Hip Arthroscopy, a highly progressive field that calls for only the most talented and dedicated surgeons. Now, Dr. Tarwala is a top ranking Arthroscopic Hip Surgeon in New York City, treating patients from the tristate area and around the world. Dr. Tarwala is a trusted name among professional athletes, having experience in treating sports injuries that cause labrum, cartilage, or soft tissue damage with arthroscopic hip surgery.
As an Orthopedic Sports Medicine Fellow in Philadelphia, Dr. Tarwala mastered sports medicine techniques for the shoulder and knee, giving him the surgical experience necessary to treat athletes and non-athletes alike for conditions and injuries affecting all joints. Dr. Tarwala will also be NY Bone and Joint Specialists’ top joint replacement specialist, treating patients with conditions such as severe arthritis or cartilage damage that would benefit from joint reconstruction or replacement.
